The Egyptian pyramids were built near the Nile, so that the stone blocks could be transported by water. The stationary phase of NUCLEODUR C18 Pyramid is based on high purity silica gel and is modified by an octadecyl modification with polar endcapping. Polar endcapping makes this C18 phase suitable for aqueous eluents and is also so called "aqua column".
